Empowerment is the process of acknowledging the hidden strength
of others and assisting them to act purposefully and assertively to reach
their growth
potential. (Miller, 1994)
The Institute for Women's Empowerment, Inc.
(IFWE) seeks to assist women in realizing their potential through the examination of current issues and themes that focus
on empowerment and leadership development. Planned outcomes for women include: - an increased understanding
of the meaning of empowerment;
- self-empowerment through group participation;
- empowerment
through educational processes; and
- an awareness of the relationship between empowerment and personal behavior
IFWE
strives to assist women through education and training, capacity building, and skills development. We offer interactive
workshops designed to enhance each woman’s awareness about empowerment. We engage expert presenters who are skilled
